The purchase of a ticket from Drama Theatre "N. O. Masalitinov" – Plovdiv (the Theatre) grants the ticket holder the right to attend the performance staged by the Theatre or in the same venue, for which the ticket was issued. By completing the purchase, the buyer accepts these General Terms and Conditions as binding between the Theatre and themselves, as well as subsequent ticket holders of the purchased tickets. This constitutes a contract with the Theatre under these terms.
The ticket contains the following information: title of the performance, date and starting time, ticket price, and the seat and row selected by the viewer. For performances staged outside the main theatre hall, the ticket details may differ depending on the specifics of the venue. Tickets for the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv do not contain seat numbers, only sectors and rows, because as a cultural monument, it is not possible to designate or number individual seats.
All performances take place in the halls of the Theatre at: Plovdiv, 38 Knyaz Alexander I Street, unless another venue is explicitly announced in promotional materials and on the ticket. By purchasing tickets for performances staged in the Ancient Theatre–Plovdiv, the buyer and any subsequent ticket holders accept that the production will be staged outdoors, in an archaeological monument where seats are not designated or numbered. Access to the marble rows is via steep radial staircases of varying widths. Spectators must exercise greater-than-usual care in moving and accept personal responsibility and risk for attending, including responsibility for any persons under their legal care.
The buyer must check the ticket details before leaving the box office, or, when purchasing online, verify their choice of title, date, and seats before confirming payment.
After the purchase, whether at the box office or online, ticket holders have no right to return tickets or request a refund of the paid amount. From the moment of purchase, the risk of loss or damage to the ticket passes to the ticket holder.
Tickets are valid only for the title and date printed on them. They must be presented in their original form and undamaged before entry.
In the event of cancellation or postponement of a performance produced by the Theatre, the Theatre is obliged to provide one of the following options to ticket holders within two weeks of the canceled performance date:
7.1. Full refund against return of the intact ticket for the canceled or postponed performance;
7.2. Exchange of the purchased tickets for the same production at a later date, subject to seat availability (ticket holders cannot claim the same seats as originally purchased);
7.3. Exchange of the purchased tickets for another production by the Theatre, subject to availability and equal ticket prices. If the new ticket is cheaper, no refund is due; if the available seats are more expensive, the Theatre covers the price difference.
7.4. In cases under 7.2 and 7.3, the Theatre does not guarantee the same seats, as this depends on availability. In case of exchange, a new ticket will be issued with updated details.
In the event of an interrupted performance due to force majeure and not the fault of the Theatre or its staff, only clauses 7.2 and 7.3 apply.
By selling a ticket, the Theatre undertakes to stage the performance on the date and at the starting time specified on the ticket.
By purchasing a ticket, the ticket holder agrees to observe accepted standards of conduct at the venue, including:
10.1. Occupying their seat by the announced starting time, and on time after the intermission. If the seat is taken before the start, the spectator must contact the nearest usher. Entry is not allowed after the performance begins, to avoid disruption. The Theatre is not responsible for seats not occupied by the announced starting time.
10.2. Not smoking in the Theatre buildings or other venues where the Theatre stages productions.
10.3. Not bringing food or drinks into the halls or other performance spaces.
10.4. Not obstructing the normal course of the performance in any way.
10.5. Turning off all devices that can produce sound or light during the performance.
10.6. Not using cameras, video recorders, or other recording devices during the performance.
10.7. Performances in the Theatre’s program are not suitable for children under 12. Productions or parts of them may negatively affect the social and psychological development of children under this age.
10.8. Not bringing any type of weapon into the Theatre buildings or any other event venues.
10.9. Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed in the Theatre buildings or event venues.
10.10. Animals are not allowed in the Theatre buildings or event venues. The only exception is guide dogs for visually impaired people with proper identification.
Discounts for pensioners (by age) and students (full-time) are granted only in person, upon presentation of a photo ID proving eligibility.
The number of discounted tickets per performance is limited.
Discounts provided by Drama Theatre–Plovdiv apply only to productions created by the Theatre itself.
